Scholarship application form and moneyHeaded to college this fall? Believe it or not there’s still time to apply for a little scholarship money to help pay your first year college expenses. A small number of private grants are available with summer deadlines, and there’s no reason not to apply for some extra money in between pool sessions and your summer job. Take a look at a sampling of what’s still up for grabs for fall semester:

College Prowler’s “No Essay” Scholarship – who doesn’t like the sound of that? This $2,000 scholarship is actually available once at the end of every month, with the next deadline not until June 30th. Applying is a cakewalk; click here for more details on how to apply.

Scholarship Experts’ “Do-Over” Scholarship – This $1,500 scholarship simply requires applicants to submit a 250 word online response to the question “If you could get one “do-over” in life, what would it be, and why?” Apply here.

BigSun Organization’s BigSun Scholarship 2013 – This one’s open to student athletes who submit a brief essay to athleticawards@bigsunathletics.com that answers the following:

What are your most important extracurricular or community activities?   What made you join these activities?  What made you continue to contribute to them?

Hurry though; the deadline for this one’s just over a week away on June 21st. So get writing! Keep in mind the applicant pool for summer scholarships is generally much smaller than it is for those available throughout the school year, so the odds may be more in your favor!
